Update on Book 3, We Give a Squid a Wedgie
Due to some factors beyond my control, the 3rd book in the Accidental Adventure series, We Give a Squid a Wedgie, has a new publication date in April 2013 (and a new look...more to come on that). You can, of course, pre-order it so you get it right when it comes out.
I apologize for the delay and I assure you, it will be worth the wait!
Here's a random part of the book to whet your appetite:
"Ow!" said Oliver. "That's a wedgie! No fair! Ow!" He reached around to the back of her pants and yanked, giving his sister a wedgie in return.
"Ow!" said Celia. "You can't give a girl a wedgie!"
"You're not a girl," said Oliver. "You're my sister!"

I am so glad that there is going to be a Book 3! I've already read Book 1, and I'm working on Book 2 now! Do you want to know what would make ly happy? I would love to see movie adaptations of these books. After all, many great book series have made movie adaptations.

I am eight years old, and I love your Accidental Adventure so much, but can you write them quicker? Because I have been waiting forever for the third book. Can you write a fourth book and a fifth book? I loved the first and second. I'm reading the first again! My favorite is We dine with Cannibals. My sister and I both read your books at least five times. You should make it a TV show, it would be so awesome! So I could watch it when I don't have the books.

Thanks so much! The third (and fourth) books are already written, but because of things totally out of my control, the publisher has moved the release date until April for book 3. I'm sorry for the long wait, but I promise, it will be worth it! In the 3rd book, there's a pirate chicken...I mean, that's worth waiting for right?

Does this mean the books will no longer be released as hardback with jonny duddle as the artist?

It does mean that books 3 & 4 will not be released as hardbacks. The first two books will still be available in hardback while supplies last (and also in paperback with the new look). Jonny Duddle's illustrations, I believe, are still on the interior of all 4 books in their new paperback editions, but the covers are by a different artist.
